Mentally Ill No More Violent than Other People

An Associated Press-MSNBC article cited a large study that confirmed what we have believed for some time, that mental illness alone is not a significant trigger for violent behavior. This goes against some cherished stereotypes, but facts are facts. More meaningful risk factors include drug abuse and a history of violent behavior.
