The hot story since yesterday has been the arrest of Gov. Rod Blagojevich for trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by President-elect Barack Obama. Obama, of course, has been trying to distance himself from any involvement in this sordid deal, knowing he will be in deep trouble if prosecutors find a connection between him and a governor who is now in risk of losing both his job and his freedom. A good summary to day can be found at the
Wall Street Journal. As of today,
Obama called for Blagojevich to resign, but the governor refused.
