Eyjafjallajökull Volcano News Coverage

The Christian Science Monitor has an article (and supplied the illustration to the left) about Eyjafjallajökull volcano, which has forced the cancellation of over 60,000 flights and could start a chain-reaction eruption of the much larger Katla volcano.

The Slate online magazine offers a pronunciation guide for this exotic name from an employee of the Icelandic embassy.

FOX News reports that limited service is now available to and from some European airports.

UPDATE: The first report of an eruption at another Icelandic volcano, Hekla.
