Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.), the architect of a daring GOP attempt to strip congressional funding for nine executive branch “czars,” says it’s only the first salvo in a much larger battle to reverse “radical policies” promulgated by the Obama administration. “Under President Obama, we’ve seen a proliferation of czars,” he told Newsmax the day after the House passed his amendment to block spending any federal funds on nine “special presidential advisers....”
UPDATE: Human Events reports that this amendment passed the House by a vote of 249 to 179.
