Fighting the Good Fight

This is turning out to be a most interesting presidential campaign. I was disappointed that Gov. Romney didn't win more states, but he's still in the game - McCain and Huckabee haven't finished him off yet. And on the Democratic side, Obama and Hillary Clinton are running neck-and-neck, and that's OK, since I believe that competition is good for any organization.

Reality check: There is no ideal candidate, but we have to do the best we can with what we have left. Hugh Hewitt emphatically declared on his radio show that regardless of who ends up being nominated, we should vote for the Republican. Now is not the time to pout, take your ball, and go home. He discussed with one caller the observation that anti-Mormon sentiment has not been a major obstacle for Romney.

From the "Be Careful What You Ask For" file: Sen. McCain is playing with fire - lately he's been doing a John Kerry and clobbering Romney and others for not serving in the military. He ought to remember what happened to Kerry when he was running for President. I'm sure there are Democrats who are chomping at the bit to "Swift-Boat" him!!
