Lou Barletta: Taking Action Against Illegal Immigrants



One of my many correspondents concerned about the illegal immigrant problem sent me this encouraging article, which demonstrates that we don't have to take it in the chin anymore, and that we can do something to protect our country, our women and children, our property, and our jobs from illegal aliens. I wrote the following comment:

Totally cool! I don't run too many articles about illegal immigration on this blog, but plan on using this one. My position is that we need to get serious about enforcing existing legislation and standards. Our current situation is all messed up: we are altogether too lax in securing our borders, punish policemen, sheriff's deputies and Border Patrol officers who are just trying to do their jobs, and push for mass amnesty when illegal aliens take advantage of this opening and overwhelm our country by the millions.
