McCain Still Looking for Some Traction

The New York Times published a surprisingly accurate report on the status of Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign yesterday. Here are a couple of paragraphs:

"Despite a three-month head start, Senator John McCain has struggled to solidify lines of attack against Senator Barack Obama for the general election, Republican operatives say and some of his own advisers acknowledge, running into problems that bedeviled Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s primary campaign against Mr. Obama....

"Several Republicans said in interviews that momentum and the terms of the political debate favored Mr. Obama right now — and, worse, that the McCain camp’s attacks had been scattershot and inconsistent despite his advantage of wrapping up the Republican nomination in March."

It remains to be seen whether a shake-up of his staff on Wednesday will produce any results. Yes, we are aware that the dinosaur media love Obama, but we also accept the fact that he's currently ahead of McCain, and that his Republican rival has NO TIME TO WASTE between now and election day.

McCain is a RINO and is hijacking the GOP. Many Republican leaders are not that crazy about McCain. There are also McCain supporter and in his campaign that has asked Bob Barr to set aside. Barr is at 6% according to the Gallup poll. They are starting to get afraid! Time for a conservative third party.
