While many Americans are becoming resigned to the choice between McCain and Obama in this presidential election, some groups are pushing for an alternative. One of them, PATRIOTS REVOLT, is seeking to engineer a brokered Republican convention which will reject John McCain as unelectable and propose an alternative as the nominee.
I don't endorse either candidate, and while I disagree with Obama on most issues, I can't help but notice the excitement he brings to personal appearances. The same cannot be said about McCain's effect on Republicans. He's just what the doctor ordered for a bad case of insomnia, and often creates the impression that he really doesn't want the job. As a Senator he knows he can hide behind 99 of his colleagues; as President he will be subjected to incredible pressure from all sides and be held responsible for every decision (or lack thereof).
UPDATE: Joseph Farah, editor of WorldNetDaily, has started a "none of the above" movement for those who are dissatisfied with both major-party candidates.
