"Lost" Leonardo da Vinci Painting Discovered

A painting known as "Salvator Mundi" (Savior of the World) has been authenticated as being by Leonardo da Vinci, and will be put on display in November. For many years it was believed that this oil painting on a walnut panel had been destroyed, and that the only evidence that it ever existed were two preliminary drawings, about 20 copies by students, and a 1650 etching by Wenceslaus Hollar.
